After just eight months of training at SWS Lauren Langille was transformed as a dancer! Right away she began to receive recognition and was noted as being a strong and vibrant performer. In her first audition for Canada’s Wonderland Lauren was one of only five dancers chosen to perform on the main stage in their professional singing and dancing production, “Dance To The Music” /2008. The directors and choreographer adored Lauren’s style and work ethics so much they insisted she return for the following season in their production of, “Signed Sealed Delivered”/ 2009. Once Lauren had completed her Wonderland contracts she began to study at the University of Ottawa. It was there that she was selected for the competitive dance team and within one year, she was voted into the position of coach. In this role, Lauren and her co-captain were responsible for the training and management of Ottawa’s Dance Team. They raised thousands of dollars to fund the team, and led the 20 women to competitions, workshops and performances across Ontario. Lauren has not only continued to perform professionally, but she has pursued a career in dance instruction while studying. As a result she is able to continue to express her artistic passion though choreography and it has become a means to pay for her schooling! Lauren is requested each season by MCVI high school in Oshawa to direct their dance chapter/program and loves to be able to share her passion with these students. A triple threat graduate, Lauren has a diverse back round and is a multifaceted instructor giving her many more instructing opportunities than most. She has choreographed and instructed for various studios throughout the Ottawa/Gatineau/Durham area including; Dance Roots, Performance Dance Academy, Gee Gee’s Dance Team, Gryphon’s Dance Pak, Step with Style and more! When Lauren visits home, she is always excited to stop into SWS to teach some classes at a studio she calls home!

Angela continues to be hired by companies for weddings, promotional shows and more, in a wide variety of dance styles due to her expertise and eye catching performance in all areas of dance. One of Angela’s favourite performing moments was during the 2010 Winter Games. Angela was one of very few selected from hundreds of dancers to perform on the 2010 Olympics Dance Team. Performing for thousands of on lookers Angela was highlighted in tap and jazz routines to represent Markham Ontario’s Olympic Torch Ceremony.
While continuing to instruct dance for all ages Angela is now working towards becoming an ECE. Currently, Angela is working towards her Early Childhood Education (E.C.E.) at Fleming College, where she will become a registered ECE for kindergarten or Sick Kids Hospital. Everything she has learned via the ECE program has absolutely enhanced her teaching styles and techniques for her dance students as well and has made her one of our most beloved teachers at SWS.
As a graduate of Step with Style’s triple threat training Angela is an extremely well rounded performer and instructor. Angela hopes very much that she can inspire young dancers to improve and maybe one day be a part of the competitive team and become an SWS graduate like her!
Since Ashleen Hutchinson graduated from SWS in 2009 she has thrived in the Ontario dance community and grown as a well-rounded dancer.
After completing her years of training Ashleen taught at Step with Style, inspiring the recreational and pre-competitive students to become the best dancers they could be – many of whom have continued on to the full-time competitive program! After one year of teaching, Ashleen moved on to attend Georgian College in Barrie, where she joined the Georgian Grizzlies dance team performing for sporting and promotional events as well as competing against other college level dance teams throughout Ontario. In addition to training with the Georgian dance team Ashleen continued her love of teaching and brought the joy of dance to the students at Dance Incorporated in Barrie – teaching ballet, tap and jazz and creating an all new acro program for the recreational level studio.
Once completing her schooling at Georgian, Ashleen moved to Toronto to discover what else the dance industry had to offer. She was welcomed with open arms as she attended open classes at various dance studios throughout the GTA. After a year of classes Ashleen was accepted into TDC Entertainment – formerly The Dance Company, where she continues to work, performing and promoting at multiple events throughout the Greater Toronto Area. This opportunity to work with TDC has given Ashleen a great reputation in the industry as a professional and reliable performer – skills and attributes she first gained from training under Amanda Coatham and Sasha Chifman at Step with Style Dance Productions.
As Ashleen continues to perform throughout Toronto, she tries to make it back to Step with Style to drop in for a class or two at the place where her love of dance was first truly embraced!
