We at Step With Style strongly feel that the quality of Dance, Vocal and Drama instruction that we provide cannot be found anywhere else. With both male and female dance instructors that come straight from the entertainment industry, your children are given every insight to the world of dance.
Amanda Dubreuil is the Artistic Director of Step with Style. Along with being the director of Durham’s #1 dance studio she is a sought after performer/instructor/choreographer & adjudicator in the Greater Toronto Area. She has been called upon to instruct for competitive and recreational studios, as well as professional and educational institutions. Her energy, and passion lead her to become the Artistic Director that she is today.
After purchasing a studio by the name of Heartbeat of Dance, Amanda built the program and foundation for Step with Style’s success. Along with her talented faculty, she led the studio from a base of only 17 competitive students, with no reputation, to a team of great stature in the competitive and professional dance world.
Sasha Litvak-Ballet Instructor
Alexander (Sasha) Litvak was born and raised in Moscow, Russia. This is where he began his dance training at the age of five at the Academy of Pyatnetsky, Moscow, and Young Dancers Studio, Moscow. He came to Canada at the age of seventeen when he received a scholarship to Randolph School for the Performing Arts.
Tressa Wilson-Competitive Director
Tressa is an accomplished choreographer and teacher. Her performing credits include Revenue Canada Gala, Snow Queen and Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Moulin Rouge Gala at The NAC, Brandi Disterheft’s “Pow Pow” music video and various charity events.
Kathleen van Graft-Acro Director
Kathleen was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie and was a provincial level gymnast at the Sault Ste. Marie Gymnastics Club. She moved to Toronto in 1988 and graduated with honours from the Seneca College Elite Coaching Program. She has more than 25 years of Pre Competitive and Competitive coaching experience and an extensive background with recreational coaching from kindergym to advanced recreational to boys gymnastics.
Leigh Vanderland- Junior Competitive & Recreational Director
Leigh is a lifelong dancer who began at the age of six and in her subsequent 20 years of experience, has achieved many commendations and awards both personally and for her students. Some of those achievements include: 1st overall soloist, A.D.A. (American Dance Awards), winning various choreography awards and was the recipient of the “Be Discovered” dance scholarship and the “New York City” scholarship following “Be Discovered” in L.A..
Dimitri Machnine-Vocal Director
Deemed by many professionals to be the most effective vocal coach in Durham Region, Dmitri has been instrumental in helping countless singers to achieve their vocal dreams and realize their full potential.Originating from Moscow (Russia), Dmitri has a rich history as a performer as well as a teacher.
Madison Bell started dancing at the age of two and a half. Trained in all areas of dance- Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip-hop, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Acro and more Madison is a highly skilled dancer, singer and actress. She received training from many reputable establishments over the years however, Heartbeat of Dance, Step with Style and the National Ballet School were the performing arts institutions that were the foundation for her career. Through Step with Style, Madison has had opportunities to learn from some of the top artists in the world!
Kaylie Estrela, a Step with Style graduate, feels so privileged to be a part of such a talented and commended faculty. She started her dance training at the age of three at Jennifer’s Arts in Motion where she trained in many genres of dance. She also trained at the National Ballet School of Canada’s certificate program where she had the chance to dance in James Kudelka’s the Nutcracker at the Hummingbird Centre. At the age of eleven she decided to further her knowledge by being accepted into and attending the National Ballet School of Canada’s professional training program.
Tamara Freethy is a well known dancer choreographer and instructor in the dance industry. Her style as well as technical ability, have made her an outstanding performer as well as a brilliant instructor/choreographer. Tamara’s training has included some of the top instructors in Ontario. She has had the opportunity to train under the direction of Vlad Novitski, Amanda Coatham, Sasha Chifman, Linda Garneau, Aly Niznik and many more!
