SWS Madison Bell Instructor
Madison Bell started dancing at the age of two and a half. Trained in all areas of dance- Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip-hop, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Acro and more Madison is a highly skilled dancer, singer and actress. She received training from many reputable establishments over the years however, Heartbeat of Dance, Step with Style and the National Ballet School were the performing arts institutions that were the foundation for her career. Through Step with Style, Madison has had opportunities to learn from some of the top artists in the world! Instructors such as Jessica King, Mandy Moore, Stephen “tWitch” Boss, Brandon Bryant, Jazzy Jester, Theresa Howard, Alison Holker, Danny Lawn, Tokyo, Molly Gray, Natasha Louis and many more! Being a member of Step with Style, Madison’s training also included vocal as well as drama. Under the direction of Alexander Chifman and Amanda Coatham, Madison was exposed to the acting and singing world. She was very fortunate to learn from Nataile McGowan, Colin de Brouchier, Rachel Cleland-Ainsworth as well as Dmitri Machnine. This has opened her eyes to a whole new world of possibilities as a performer!

As a competitive dancer Madison is an overall winning soloist, duet partner and group member. She is an outstanding performer and by her respectable work ethic strives to be a wonderful example for all of her students. In 2008 Madison was one of only 8 dancers chosen by Mandy Moore (So You Think You Can Dance USA/Canada choreographer), to perform in Mandy’s piece “I Wanna Dance”. As the lead dancer in this routine Madison caught the attention of judges at every single competition. Over the years Madison has earned Specialty Awards, Overall Awards-the highest marks of the entire competition, Overall Excellence and many more. Madison has been inspired by many, and inspired many young dancers herself along her competitive dancing path.

Madison is a sought after performer and has been personally requested by directors and choreographers in the GTA for their performances. Some of her credits include: “Happy Holidays”-Dancer/Choreographer, “The Grassmere Ave Youth Centre Celebration”-Dancer, “Santa’s Parade of Lights”-Dancer for the SWS cast, “New York and Dragons Abreast 6th Annual Fashion Show” -Production Cast Dancer- 2008 directed by Carol Forrest, “The Salesisian Alumni Banquet”-Dancer, “Aladdin”-Singer/Dancer/Actress Oshawa Little Theatre Production Cast, “ The Ballet Series” under the instruction of Tokyo, A finalist at the 2013 ASH convention and was invited to Atlantic city to become and Ash assistant and more!

Madison instructs all- Recreational, Pre competitive, Part Time as well as Full Time Competitive levels. Throughout the season Madison’s students’ flourish on stage, many of which have received overall awards not only in the regular competitive season but also when competing in finals at the National Level. These results are due to her excellent leadership and preparation in her classes. Students of all ages and at all levels are drawn to Madison. Her kind heart and passion shows in every class she instructs. Every student, recreational and competitive, look forward to attending her classes.

As a part of Step with Style’s faculty Madison has taken the mandatory SWS teachers course- Educating Leaders of Dance- E.L.D. and passed with honors. Each season Madison continues to update her teachers knowledge by taking this course. This along with her incredible training has made her an excellent instructor/choreographer for young aspiring dancers and her students continue to improve and thrive under her leadership. Madison hopes that all the children she has had the pleasure of teaching will love dance as much as she does, is always excited for what a new year brings her and can’t wait to share this excitement with other students!
