2012 Competitive Results
Rhythm Dance - Brantford
May 25th-27th 2012
May 25th 2012 Step with Style’s competitive team headed out to one of the toughest competitions in all of Ontario. Our students competed against some of Canada’s finest dance studios in Branford at Rhythm Dance! Our dancers do an outstanding job and show progress every time they perform and our last competition Rhythm Dance was no different. Choreography awards, including top choreography for the entire Junior level as well as specials and so very many placements as well as the Rhythm Cup were awarded to our team!!! SWS’s team made all very proud this weekend! Congratulations to all the dancers for an incredible season. We look forward to what you all have in store for your audiences next season!
MOVE DANCE Collingwood
May 17th - May 20th 2012
Both Part Time and Fulltime Competitive members of Step with Style travelled to Collingwood Ontario to compete at Shawn Desman’s dance competition MOVE! Dancers, faculty and parents had an outstanding time. Earning the Top Marks of the entire competition dancers made their mark and had a blast! Choreographers of SWS were recognized for several pieces and their students earned endless special awards and placements. Judges raved about Step with Style’s students being well rounded and applauded the training they are all receiving at such a young age. Joe Perez was quoted saying to our juniors, “Your technique is far beyond your age. You are receiving amazing training!” Congratulations to all your performances made everyone at SWS so very proud!
Odyssey - Hamilton April 27th-28th 2012
This past weekend the SWS competitive team- both the fulltime members and P.T Crew’s took, on some of Ontario’s finest dance studios in their second competition of the season –Dance Odyssey. SWS performed very well earning countless Placements, Special awards and Overall awards. SWS proved to be a great studio once again with many of their dancers/routines earning the top marks of competition “Platinum” for marks above 93! Congratulations to all the dancers and families for your hard work! GREAT JOB!
Galaxy of Stars - April 14th to 15th, 2012
This past weekend the SWS competitive team- both the fulltime members and P.T Crew’s took, on their first competition of the season -Galaxy of Stars. Throughout the competition SWS was recognized for our technique, choreography and sportsmanship. Receiving countless placements, Special awards and Choreography awards, SWS was a force to be reckoned with having many of our dancers earning the top marks of competition “Star Status” for marks above 96!

MOVE DANCE Collingwood
May 19th - May 22nd 2011
Step with Style went out with a bang at the final competition of the season. SWS earned the highest mark of the entire competition as well as 1st overall awards, scholarships, special awards in all styles-dance & vocal!

RHYTHM DANCE Guelph
May 13th - May 15th 2011
Step with Style, now in it's fifth season was excited to take on two of the top five studios in Ontario and come out with incredible results! Adjudicators Crystal Alves-Tusim, Michael Lambert and Erika Serbu had much to say about the training of SWS's students. "Your routines are unbelievable!" said Michael Lambert. Earning two Rhythm cups as well as Novice overall awards against the best of the best, this competition was an excellent judgement of how far the studio has come in such a short time. Congratulations to all dancers for your accomplishments!

RHYTHM DANCE RICHMOND HILL
April 29th-May1st 2011
Excellent showing from the SWS team this past weekend! Earning overall awards in ALL Novice, Junior, Intermediate and Senior Divisions Step with Style gave wonderful performances! Judges Crystal Alves, Cindy Daizell and Frank Giorgio awarded SWS with the Intermediate Rhythm Cup for "Can't Stop" the 12yrs extended line that includes 90 dancers THE ENTIRE TEAM! SWS was also awarded the Rhythm Rookie Award! Dancers from "Scat like That" the 6yrs Novice Tap Large Group won the HIGHEST novice mark from the entire competition-this was 1st place out of 70 routines!! SWS was proud to win categories that had as many as 10 dancers involved! With the overall, choreography and judges choice winnings combined the competitive team won over $2500!! CONGRATS to all for your excellent performances!

Galaxy of Stars - April 8th to 10th, 2011
What a wonderful way to start off our competitive season! Performing against some of the strongest studios in Toronto & London SWS had wonderful results. Adjudicators Heather Leslie, Lara Lever and Robin Calvert had many outstanding things to say about SWS's competitive program. All three adjudicators were extremely impressed with the technique, precision, and versatility of our dancers and honoured the studio with overall, choreography and special awards throughout the weekend! What is wonderful about SWS is that we are a family and it shows! Even our office manager came out and watched the entire weekend. Andrew cheered on each and every routine beside parents, friends and family who came out to support. It is hard to describe in words the community we have here at SWS, please know we treasure you all! Congratulations to all dancers for your incredible performances this weekend!
2010 Competitive Results
Dance Odyssey #2 (Muskoka)
May 15th & 16th
This was an incredible season! At our last competition for 2010 dancers definitely went out with a BANG! Out of hundreds of entries SWS's competitive team earned 9 of the 10 top marks of the competition! Students were adjudicated by Karen Prior, Jessica Horn and Terrie Legein and were recognized with high regard in each and every dance discipline!
Dance Odyssey #1 (Hamilton)
April 29th-May 2nd
SWS had its most successful weekend to date! Up against studios whom have been around over 15years, SWS in only its fourth season came out on top! Congratulations go out to all students whom worked so hard all season and the faculty that helped them achieve their goals!
Rhythm Dance - April 23rd to 25th, 2010
SWS's dancers were up against some very strong schools whom have been around the block, (some for over 25 years)! SWS only in it's fourth season is producing outstanding results! Competing against seven different schools Step with Style took home 2 out of 4 of the Rhythm Cups for highest Mark in the Mini Division (Ages 8yrs and under) as well as highest Mark in the Junior Division (Ages 9-11yrs)!
Breakthru Dance Challenge
April 9th to 11th, 2010
The faculty is extremely proud of all of our dancers! It was our first time attending Breakthru Dance Challenge and SWS came out on top in every type of dance! Earning wonderful marks in ALL Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip hop AND Acro! There was not one type of dance that SWS showed weak in. CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU FACULTY our students truly are receiving well rounded training!
2009 Competitive Results
Dance Odyssey 2009 - May 22nd - 24th, 2009
SWS students and family enjoyed participating in their final competition of the season. The studio did remarkably well. Again we had one of our dancers win the So You Think You Can Dance competition held by Dance Odyssey. Congratulations to Tamara Freethy for winning the senior division and to Madison Bell for winning 1st Runner up for the junior/inter division. Our studio was recognized for how well rounded our training is and how much technique our dancers have for such a young age.
Galaxy of Stars 2009 - April 25th - 26th, 2009
Step With Style students had an excellent showing of their routines this past weekend! Earning themselves not only one but two of the Galaxy Super Nova Awards. Both the Junior and Intermediate Super Nova (top mark Junior and top mark Intermediate) were won by SWS! Teachers and students hard work throughout the season paid off as students earned themselves choreography awards, specialty awards and an outstanding amount of Overall Awards-(top marks of the competition). Congratulations to all dancers for an incredible showing!
Rhythm Dance 2009 - April 17th - 19th, 2009
SWS went to its toughest competition yet this past weekend! Competing against some of the top studios in Ontario SWS did a great job! Congratulations to all the dancers! You received great marks and we are very proud! SWS were recognized with Specialty, Overall Choreography, Scholarships and Adjudicators Choice Awards!

2008 Competitive Results
Galaxy of The Stars - May 9th - 10th, 2008
Our last Competition of the season SWS went out with a bang! With over 90% of the students receiving marks of 90 or over this was a great weekend for all dancers involved!
Flashdance - May 1st - 4th 2008
Step with Style competitors took on some of the top schools in Ontario at the Flashdance competition! Most of the team had only been dancing together for 8 months at this time but you would have never guessed it!
Galaxy - April 12th - 13th, 2008
The team won $3450.00 For their outstanding performances. All winnings were given back to the dancers! Congratulations to all dancers. Your dancing and sportsmanship made us all very proud!!!
Dance Odyssey - April 3rd - 6th, 2008
All the dancers at Step with Style won a total of $3575.00!!! for their outstanding performances! Congratulations to all dancers your dancing and sportsmanship made us all very proud!!
Showcase - May 30th, 2008
Our entire competitive team had the chance to try their routines out on stage March 30 before heading off to their competitions. Over 300 friends, family and visitors came out to support the ever growing SWS team!

Star Catchers May 25 - 27th 2007
Star Catchers was Step with Style Dance Productions last competition this season! All dancers are to be congratulated as all have done an amazing job!
Galaxy Of The Stars May 11th-13th 2007
Step with Style's Competitive team traveled to Hamilton to compete with some of the top dance schools in Ontario at Galaxy Of The Stars! Students had the chance to be adjudicated Katy Spreadbury, Gary Coburn and Natasha Gibson! All three judges are sought after in the adjudication as well as the instruction field of the performing arts. Every student performed their absolute best and we are proud of all of them!
To The Extreme May 6th 2007
Step with Style's Intermediate and Senior competitive team attended the To The Extreme dance competition located in Toronto Ontario on May 6th 2007. What an amazing showing the students had!
GALAXY April 21st - 22nd 2007
Galaxy Of Stars was Step with Style's second competitive endeavor. Select soloists from the Pre Junior, Junior,Intermediate and Senior levels got to perform their solos for judges Natasha Gibson, Tracy Degenfelder-Navarro and Rebecca Guile. Again, Step with Style achieved a great deal of recognition throughout the entire competition! Winning Specialty Awards as well as Overall Awards!
DANCE ODYSSEY April 12-15th 2007
Dance Odyssey was Step with Style's first competitive endeavor and it was many of the dancers' first time out on stage! With a competitive team of only 19 ladies Step with Style achieved a great deal of recognition throughout the entire competition. Winning Specialty Awards, Overall Awards, Scholarship as well as Choreography Awards!
Dress Rehearsal - March 31st 2007
March 31st Step with Style held it's first annual competitive dress rehearsal! With mirrors covered dancers performed in full make-up, hair and costume for all family and friends that attended. All groups duet/trios and soloists had the chance to put their routines to the test and have a practice run before we attend our first competition!
