At Step with Style, students have the unique opportunity to choose their graduation certificate track:
S.W.S.D.P. Performance Graduate – Dance-only track
S.W.S.D.P. Triple Threat Performing Arts Graduate – Requires participation in vocal and drama training, alongside dance.
This season, Miss Star will be working with students on cold readings, vocal, and camera work to give more insight into the entertainment industry.
Step with Style recognizes each performer with a listed major on both their acceptance and graduation certificates, reflecting their dedication and passions. This adds a distinctive touch to the full-time experience.
All full-time competitive dancers must participate in ballet exams at no additional charge. Exams offer an excellent way to measure and reward progress, with all competitive students working on exam material throughout the year. A refresher class will be held before the exam, which takes place at the end of June with Debbie Wilson. Signed certificates are distributed in September.
Full-time students can join our Assist to Instruct program at no extra cost. This program includes annual E.L.D. Training (Educating Leaders of Dance) and provides the opportunity to assist in classes, learning how to effectively teach and manage students. Assistants may also support backstage during recitals and other events.
We foster choreographic talent at Step with Style, especially for senior dancers. Christmas performances and other opportunities encourage students to create and perform original pieces, with guidance and constructive feedback. Our improvisation class also helps students develop their choreographic skills.
All advanced juniors, intermediates, and seniors participate in parades such as the Oshawa, Courtice, and Port Perry holiday parades. Parades are a highly anticipated and mandatory part of the full-time program, with Step with Style recognized for exceptional costuming and street routines.
Step with Style is ahead of the curve, offering a unique focus on mental strength and mindfulness coaching as an essential part of our competitive training. Our program places a strong emphasis on personal reflection and mindfulness techniques, helping unlock each performer’s fullest potential.

Step with Style proudly presents an annual Christmas Spectacular, a beloved tradition that kicks off the holiday season with an unforgettable themed performance. Bringing joy, festive cheer, and love to the stage, this dazzling show features routines inspired by the iconic Rockettes and much more. It's a unique experience that sets Step with Style apart, offering a holiday performance like no other studio in the area!
At Step with Style, competitive dancers—both part-time and full-time—have the incredible opportunity to participate in professional-length year-end productions. These productions are a hallmark of our studio, setting us apart from others in the region and beyond. Each year, we bring to life a cinematic experience, transforming popular movies into full-scale performing arts productions that blend dance, vocal performance, and drama.
These productions are performed as the grand finale of our annual year-end recital, offering dancers the chance to explore choreography, characterization, dramatic timing, and stage management. The performances range from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on the theme, and provide a truly unforgettable show for families to enjoy. Full-time graduates take on lead roles, while the rest of the competitive team is auditioned for supporting roles, creating an enriching learning experience for all.
Since our first production in 2007, these performances have been a defining feature of Step with Style. Past productions include “Madonna Tribute” (2007), “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” (2008), “Maleficent” (2014), “The Angels” (2015), “Suicide Squad” (2017), “The Greatest Showman” (2018), “Madonna” (2019), “The Free Guy” (2022), “All You Need Is Love” (a Moulin Rouge-inspired love story, 2023), “The Bodyguard” (2024), and “Chicago” (2025). Each year, Director Amanda Dubreuil creates an incredible experience that pushes boundaries, showcases talent, and brings magic to the stage.
Step with Style's full-time dancers are known for their outstanding technique, presence, style, and sportsmanship. We thank our students and teachers for their dedication and hard work! Step's students who venture to auditions and rehearsals for professional events are noted by directors and agency reps as being among the most prepared and professional in the rooms.

This exclusive opportunity is available only at Step and is open to all Pre-Competitive and Competitive level dancers. Dancers in these programs can take on a practice solo for our year-end recital performances. We highly recommend novice dancers (first-time soloists) train with practice solos for 1-2 years before committing to a competitive solo. This program has been instrumental in building young dancers' confidence and helping them understand what’s expected—without the added financial commitment of competitive solo fees and costumes.
Dancers work with a senior instructor in private lessons, which can be scheduled bi-weekly or weekly, depending on the family's preference.
My daughter did a practice solo, and it made all the difference in her confidence. She was absolutely beaming at the recital, performing for her friends and family. The next year, she moved up to competitive dance, feeling fully prepared, and I believe it played a huge role in her success!"
