I danced part-time at Step with Style for many years, training all the way through to graduation. Now as an adult, I look back and feel so grateful for my time there. I had an incredible experience with the staff, learned so much, and made lifelong friends. I love that whenever I visit, everyone takes the time to greet me with a hug! Step with Style was truly one of the best parts of my childhood!"
—Rebecca Leduc, Part-Time SWS Graduate
Our part-time dancers train an average of 6 hours per week, in line with competition company standards. Unlike many studios that exceed this limit with additional private lessons, we prioritize integrity, ensuring that our part-time dancers stay within this timeframe.
While the time and financial commitment for part-time dancers is less than that of full-time dancers, they still enjoy access to all full-time team spirit events and the same high-quality training. Dancers must be assessed by instructors before joining the team, and video auditions are accepted.
Competitive Cuties is a fantastic introduction to competition for young dancers, offering a chance to test the waters without a heavy commitment. This program provides a nurturing environment where young dancers can explore their passion for dance while building a strong foundation.
Instructors maintain open communication with parents to create a supportive atmosphere for both students and families. These dancers gain a competitive edge while having fun!
Competitive Cuties participate in the annual Showcase, attend four competitions, and our competitive Recital. They’re included in all parties and events, making them an essential part of our competitive team. They are our future!
Classes are held 1-2 days a week, depending on age and skill level. Dancers must be assessed by instructors, and if enrolled in our recreational program, please inform the directors if you wish to move to the next level.

There are no other schools in the region and or beyond that give the same or similar performance opportunities. Step Productions are generally movies reconstructed and brought to life as a performing arts production. Productions are performed as the last act of our Annual year end recital. The performance includes, Vocal, Drama and Dance. All performers involved have the opportunity to learn choreographic elements, characterization, Dramatic timing, stage management and more all while giving their families a stellar show to enjoy! These productions are 45min-1.5 hr long depending on the story and concept. Full Time Graduates receive lead roles and the remainder of the competitive team are auditioned for supporting roles, a process wherein is another experience students’ can learn and grow from.
This has been a feature of Step with Style since the very first show in 2007. Over the years Director Amanda Dubreuil has produced productions such as: “Madonna Tribute” 2007, “Pirates of The Carribean-The Curse of The Black Pearl” 2008, “Maleficent” 2014, “The Angels” 2015 “Suicide Squad” 2017, “The Greatest Showman” 2018, “Madonna” 2019, “The Free Guy” 2022, “All You Need Is Love”- a Moulin Rouge inspired love story 2023, “The Bodyguard” 2024 and “Chicago” 2025!
This exclusive opportunity is available only at Step and is open to all Pre-Competitive and Competitive level dancers. Dancers in these programs can take on a practice solo for our year-end recital performances. We highly recommend novice dancers (first-time soloists) train with practice solos for 1-2 years before committing to a competitive solo. This program has been instrumental in building young dancers' confidence and helping them understand what’s expected—without the added financial commitment of competitive solo fees and costumes.
Dancers work with a senior instructor in private lessons, which can be scheduled bi-weekly or weekly, depending on the family's preference.
My daughter did a practice solo, and it made all the difference in her confidence. She was absolutely beaming at the recital, performing for her friends and family. The next year, she moved up to competitive dance, feeling fully prepared, and I believe it played a huge role in her success!"
